The name ‘Efes’ comes from the ancient city of Ephesus, located near modern-day Selçuk on the Aegean coast of Izmir. In its day, Ephesus was famous for the nearby Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was also home to Lady of Ephesus, whose figure is the inspiration behind our logo.

Our first restaurant opened in central London in 1974. Since then, our family-run business has continued to take pride in quality ingredients and remain dedicated to bringing the finest flavours of Turkey to your table.
